4. The instant writ petition has been preferred for quashing of the First Information Reprot dated 22.01.2026 bearing FIR No. 28 of 2026, wherein, the petitioners have been implicated for the offence punishable under section 420 of IPC, P.S. Haldwani, District Nainital.
5. The instant writ petition is filed along with the compounding application with the affidavit of the petitioners and the respondent-complainant and the petitioners and respondent-complainant are present in court and are identified by their respective counsel.
6. It is contended in the compounding application that they have settled their dispute amicably and their relations are now cordial and the offence is compoundable.
7. Learned State counsel have no objection and submits that the offence is compoundable.
8. In such view of the matter, the writ petition as well as the compounding application are allowed and the impugned FIR dated 22.01.2026 bearing FIR No. 28 of 2026 is also hereby quashed.
