February 17, 2026 61 ARDR IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA CIRCUIT BENCH AT JALPAIGURI CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS JURISDICTION CRM (A) 96 of 2026 In Re : An application for bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Alipurduar Women Police Station Case No. 68 of 2024 dated 17/10/2024 under Sections 85/109/123 of the BNS, 2023. And In Re : Imran Miya ... Petitioner Adv. Sudip Guha Roy, Adv. Ananda Paul, ... for the Petitioner. Adv. Ujjwal Luksom, Adv. Bhaskar Das Adv. Subhasish Misra, ..for the State. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the husband of the defacto complainant and has been falsely implicated. Co accused are on bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The petitioner being the husband of the defacto complainant allegedly poured poison into the mouth of the victim. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. CRM (A) 96 of 2026 is disposed of. Case Diary be returned. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.) 2
