for old age pension, and at the time of raid, bribe money was recovered from him.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has argued that the petitioner is in custody since 26.02.2026. Learned counsel has iterated that the petitioner has been falsely implicated into the FIR in question. Learned counsel has further urged that the petitioner was not competent to carry out the work in question for which bribe money was given. Learned counsel has further urged that the police has intentionally introduced stock witness, namely, Salma, as an independent witness. Learned counsel has further submitted that, upon culmination of investigation, challan already stands presented and trial will take long time. Learned counsel has further submitted that requisite prosecution sanction has not yet been received qua the petitioner. Thus, regular bail is prayed for. 4. Per contra, learned State counsel, while raising submissions in tandem with the reply by way of an affidavit dated 15/23.06.2026, which is already on record, has opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner by arguing that there are direct/ serious allegations against the petitioner. Learned State counsel has submitted that the documents relating to pension work of the complainant were specifically recovered from the petitioner which glaringly shows his culpability qua offence in question. Learned State counsel seeks to place on record the custody certificate dated 15.07.2026, in the Court today, which is taken on record. 5. I have heard counsel for the parties and have gone through the available records of the case. 6. The petitioner was arrested on 26.02.2026, whereinafter, the investigation was carried out and the challan has been presented on 17.04.2026. This Court does not deem it appropriate to delve deep into these rival contentions, at this stage, lest it may prejudice the trial. Nothing tangible has been brought forward to indicate the likelihood of the petitioner absconding from the process of justice or interfering with the prosecution evidence. 6.1.
