JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 2 07-08-2026 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Chandra Bhushan Prasad, learned A.P.P. for the State. 2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a), 41(1) and 41(2) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2022. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a person with clean antecedent and is in custody since 28.05.2026 and allegation is of recovery of 1656 litres of liquor from a truck and 468 litres of liquor from a Scorpio vehicle. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner, being driver of the truck, was apprehended. It is further submitted that petitioner is not the owner of the truck nor of the seized Scorpio vehicle and was completely unaware what was loaded in the truck. Patna High Court CR. MISC. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court where the case is pending in connection with Tajpur P.S.
