Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for one year ten months; charge- sheet has been submitted and charges have also been framed. Learned advocate emphasizes that witness action has not been commenced. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the recovery was from the present petitioner and not only FICN but firearms also. There are number of criminal cases pending against the present petitioner, as such, the petitioner is having criminal antecedents. Having considered the factum of the present case, particularly, the FICN and the firearms which were
2 recovered at the behest of the present petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1389 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
