Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, by efflux of time and in view of the subsequent developments, the grievance raised in the present writ petition no longer survives for consideration. It is, therefore, submitted that the present writ petition has rendered infructuous. 2 Learned State counsel has no objection to the aforesaid submission advanced on behalf of the petitioners. 3 Considering the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and upon perusal of the record, this Court is of the opinion that no effective cause of action survives for adjudication in the present matter. 4 Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as having rendered infructuous.
