“Learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner inter alia contends that the petitioner was found innocent during the course of investigation and was placed in column No.2. The petitioner has now been summoned under Section 358 BNSS. It is submitted that there are general and vague allegations that the petitioner, alongwith other persons, has caused injuries but no recovery of any nature has been effected from the petitioner and his custodial detention is also not warranted at this stage. He further submits that there is no other criminal case against the petitioner and that he shall appear before the Trial Court on or before the date next fixed before the Trial Court ie.. 17.04.2026. Notice of motion. Dr. (Ms.) Savi Nagpal, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and prays for some time to complete instructions and file reply, if so advised. Adjourned to 15.07.2026. Reply, if any, be filed on or before the adjourned date with copy in advance to the learned counsel opposite.

CRM-M-19937-2026 -2- In the meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Trial Court on or before the date next fixed before it i.e. 17.04.2026 and in the event of his doing so, he shall be admitted to interim bail by the Trial Court on his furnishing of bail/surety bonds to its satisfaction.” In compliance of the aforesaid order, the petitioner surrendered before the Trial Court and has since been granted the concession of interim bail. A copy of the order dated 16.04.2026 is taken on record and marked as 'X'. In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court.
