This writ petition alleges inaction on the part of the respondent WBSEDCL Authorities in effecting electricity supply to the petitioner’s submersible pump. 2. Mr. Chattopadhyay, learned Advocate appearing for the respondent WBSEDCL Authorities submits that the WBSEDCL Authorities are ready and willing to effect connection to the petitioner’s submersible pump. However, since the rainy season is on and the area whereat supply is to be effected is waterlogged, therefore there are technical difficulties in effecting supply. 3. In such view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent WBSEDCL Authorities to effect electricity supply to the petitioner’s submersible pump within a period of six 2 weeks from date or immediately upon recession of the water from the waterlogged field, whichever is earlier, subject to compliance of all necessary formalities by the petitioner. 4. The petitioner is at liberty to immediately inform the respondent WBSEDCL Authorities upon recession of water if the same happens prior to the expiry of the given period of six weeks. 5. As submitted by Mr. Pan, it is recorded that the petitioner has already constructed a meter room. 6. WPA 13837 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. There shall be no order as to costs. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
