Memo of evidence filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter in the present case relate to alleged recovery of 267 grams of heroin from two persons including the present petitioner. Chemical Examiner’s report does not assist the present petitioner. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. The petitioner is in custody for a period of eight months. Charges have already been framed. Date has been fixed in the month of September, 2026 for witness action. The learned Trial Court would within a period of three months from the next date fixed put in efforts to complete the evidence of seizure list witnesses. 2 The petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid time period is over. At this stage, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1489 of 2026 is rejected.
