Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. By the present writ petition the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities for disbursement of interest on honorarium from 1st February, 2011 to 16th July, 2025. 3. The petitioner contends that he was joined as Siksha Samprasarak in Kamalpur Junior High Madrasah on 16th May, 2008. The said Madrasah got recognition with effect from 1st March, 2011. At first, the approval of the petitioner was made on and from 16th May, 2016. However, subsequent to orders passed in the writ petition being WPA 19645 of 2021 and contempt petition being WPCRC 16 of 2024 the approval of the petitioner has been given with effect from 1st February, 2011. The arrear of honorarium has already been disbursed to the petitioner on 16th July, 2025. However, no interest has been paid. Hence this writ petition. 4. Mr. Srikanta Datta, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is entitled to interest on honorarium from 1st February, 2011 to 16th July, 2025. 5. Mr. Brijendra Pratap Singh, learned advocate for the State leaves the matter to the discretion of the Court. 6. In view of the above, respondent no.4, District Officer, Minority Affairs, Birbhum is directed to pay the interest @ 8% per annum on honorarium in favour of the petitioner from 1st February, 2011 to 16th July, 2025 within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 7. Petitioner is directed to communicate this order to the respondent no.4, District Officer, Minority Affairs, Birbhum for necessary action. 8. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition being WPA 1077 of 2026 is disposed of. 9. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted. 10. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 11. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 12. There shall be no order as to costs. 13. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 14.
