Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that in spite of lodging complaint on 9th July, 2026 till date no steps have been taken by the concerned police authorities by registering FIR. Petitioner prays for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps in accordance with law. 3. Mr. Bhattacharjee, learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 15th July, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Uttarpara Police Station and same is taken on record. Copies of the communication dated 15th July, 2026 are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and respondent no.9. 4. Respondent nos.5 to 8 are represented by Mr. Trivedi, learned Additional Solicitor General of India. 5. It is disclosed in the communication dated 15th July, 2026 that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner a criminal prosecution has been initiated by registering FIR being Uttarpara Police Station Case No.212/2026 dated 13th July, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS, 2023 and Dowry Provision Act. 6. Since FIR has been registered and criminal prosecution has commenced, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same stands disposed of. 7. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises. 8.
