The writ petition has been filed for a direction upon the respondent No. 6 to remove the recording of premises No. 74, Nimtala Ghat Street, Kolkata 700006 also known as Jora Bagan Rajbari from the list of heritage list maintained by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The petitioner is also aggrieved with the recording of the aforesaid premises in the name of the Commissioner of Police and the Executive Engineer, CMDA. 2. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting that the petitioners has already made a representation before the municipal authorities, I am of the view that the municipal authorities must hear out and dispose of the petitioners’ representation in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of 2 WPA 11741 of 2026 hearing to the petitioners and the interested parties. 3. It is expected that the reasoned decision in this regard shall be taken by the municipal authorities within a period of 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order and the same shall also be communicated to the interested parties forthwith. 4. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
