The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010643182024 NC: 2026:KHC:36882 WP No. 33106 of 2024 a) Issue a writ of Certiorari to quash the endorsement dated 26.10.2024 (Ref: NIL) issued by Respondent No. 2 unlawfully rejecting the approval of the Hassan District voters' list for the upcoming District Directors' Elections, Hassan, based on an arbitrary assertion that the Petitioner, Sri B.P. Krishna Gowda, listed at Serial No. 1, is ineligible, in the interest of justice and equity. b) Issue a writ of Mandamus directing Respondents No. 2 and 3 to approve the inclusion of the Petitioner's name at Serial No. 1 on the voters' list for the Office of the Transport Department, Hassan District, thereby enabling the Petitioner to contest and vote in the upcoming Director Election for Hassan District Constituency 37, as well as in other relevant elections as notified by Respondent No. 5. c) Such other order/direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit to grant in the circumstances of the case, in the ends of justice. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a memo, signed by the learned counsel for the Petitioner, which reads as under:- MEMO FOR WITHDRAWAL 1. In the above Writ Petition, the Petitioner has sought to quash the Endorsement dated 26.10.2024, and has also sought consequential directions to Respondent No.2 and 3 to approve the inclusion of the Petitioner's name in the Hassan District Voters List. 2. It is respectfully submitted that, owing to subsequent events and the efflux of time, the election process for which the reliefs were sought has already been completed and the reliefs prayed for in the present Writ Petition have become - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010643182024 NC: 2026:KHC:36882 WP No. 33106 of 2024 infructuous. As such, the Petitioner does not wish to prosecute the present Writ Petition any further and seeks permission of this Hon'ble Court to withdraw the same. 3. Therefore, it is most humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to permit the Petitioner to withdraw the above Writ Petition as having become infructuous, in the interest of justice and equity. 3.
