According to the petitioner, despite scoring sufficiently high marks in the selection for appointment as Assistant Teacher, Government Primary School in District Chamoli, appointment has been denied to him only on the ground that he possesses a Domicile Certificate issued by State of Uttar Pradesh. 4. Perusal of the record reveals that District Education Officer (Elementary), Chamoli issued a notice to the petitioner on 05.02.2026, asking him to submit his reply on certain aspects. Annexure-9 to the writ petition is petitioner’s reply to the said notice, which was submitted on 09.02.2026. 5. Since no decision has been taken in the matter by District Education Officer (Elementary), therefore, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Education Officer concerned to examine the issue in the light of reply submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate order, as per law, within four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
