The petitioners are aggrieved that they have not been given the requisite benefit under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS). They are all former employees of the North Bengal State Transport Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “Corporation”). They have rendered years of unblemished service and pray for being considered under the Career Advancement Scheme in terms of the G.O. No. 6075-F dated June 21, 1990. They have also made the requisite representations to the authorities on December 30, 2019 and then in December, 2022 and again in September, 2025. Unfortunately, none of these representations have been considered by the authorities. 3. I direct the respondent no. 2 to consider the representations made by the petitioners by August 2 31, 2026 and if required to give a hearing to the petitioners and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order. 4. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 5. There will be no order as to costs. 6. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon usual undertakings. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
