The present writ petitions have been filed for the following relief(s):- 2 “10.1 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire records pertaining to the case of the petitioners. 10.2 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in nature of mandamus whereby directing the respondent authorities to provide the petitioner compassionate appointment on account of death of her husband. 10.3 Any other relief, which the Hon’ble Court may deems fit and proper may also be awarded to the peti- tioner including the cost of the petitioner.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's husband died in harness on 29.10.2012 while serving as Assistant Teacher (Panchayat). Although the petitioner acquired the requisite educational qualifications and submitted her application for compassionate appoint- ment within the prescribed time, the respondent authorities have failed to consider her claim despite repeated representations. It is submitted that the petitioner has been found eligible for appointment to the post of Panchayat Secretary, yet no appointment has been granted till date. Hence, the respondents be directed to grant compassionate appoint- ment in accordance with the applicable policy. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents does not oppose the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner. 4. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the Chief Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat Sitapur District Surguja Ambikapur (respondent No. 6), is directed to consider and de- 3 cide the representations (Annexure P/8) of the petitioners in accor- dance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a pe- riod of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. The petitioners shall be at liberty to submit an additional representation along with all relevant documents, if so advised. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the cases of the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the present writ petitions stand disposed of. Sd/- (Sanjay K.
