ORDER 14.09.2026
01. The instant contempt petition arises out of an
order/judgment passed by the learned writ Court on 25th November, 2025 by virtue of which the writ petition filed by the petitioner was
disposed of at the very threshold with a direction to respondent No. 2- Financial Commissioner (Revenue), to decide the application preferred by the petitioners for rectification of the mutation as per law, within a period of four weeks from the date copy of the order along with the writ petition annexures are made available to him.
02. Since the aforesaid order was not complied with, within the time granted by the Court, the instant contempt petition was preferred by the petitioner in which notice was issued on 15th April, 2026.
03. Compliance report stands filed on behalf of the respondent, in which the respondent has taken a specific stand that in compliance to the direction passed by this Court dated 12th June, 2026, the application preferred by the petitioners for rectification of the revenue record has been decided by virtue of order dated 12th June, 2026 whereby the case of the petitioner has been rejected for the reasons spelled out in the aforesaid order, whereby it has been recorded that no case of rectification under Section 27 of the Land Revenue Act has been made out, and accordingly the learned Financial Commissioner has concurred with the recommendation of the Committee and the
application so filed by the petitioner was rejected being devoid of any merit.
04. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned counsel for the respondent at length and have perused the record.
05. This Court, after hearing the learned counsel for the parties, is of the view that the order/judgment passed by the learned writ Court stands complied with, and, as such, nothing remains for further adjudication in this contempt petition.
06. In view of the above, the proceedings in the instant contempt petition are closed. Rule, if any, shall stand discharged. However, dismissal of the instant contempt petition shall not come in the way of the petitioner to challenge the order of rejection dated 12th June, 2026, before the appropriate authority, is so advised.
