3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an ex-parte award has been passed against the petitioner in respect of the hire purchase of a vehicle. He submits that the petitioner was not given any opportunity of hearing before the award dated 29.6.2026 was passed by the Arbitration Tribunal.

Evidently, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner has an alternative remedy to challenge the arbitral award by filing an application under Section 34 of the said Act before the competent Civil Court. As such, the petitioner is relegated to the concerned Civil Court to challenge the award dated 29.6.2026 under Section 34 of the said Act.
