Petitioner has drawn the attention of the Court to the order dated 20.01.2026 which has been passed pursuant to the directions passed in CRM(NDPS)1419 of 2025. The said petitioner is driver of the vehicle and the present petitioner before this Court is helper of the truck. Learned advocate for the Customs (Preventive) opposes the prayer for bail. The seizure was effected on 1.1.2022. Petitioner is in custody for more than 4½ years. Accordingly, petitioner being 2 similarly placed in spite of objection raised by the learned advocate appearing for the Customs (Preventive), I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail on the ground of long pendency. Accordingly, the petitioner, namely, Ram Dass @ Ramdas be released on bail on same terms and conditions as was imposed upon the other accused Maharaj Singh by the learned special court. Thus, CRM(NDPS) 1397 of 2026 is allowed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
