The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayer: “(I) That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to produce all the relevant records relating to case of the petitioner before this Hon’ble Court for its kind perusal. (ii) that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct respondents No. 1 to 4 to conclude the DPC proceedings for promotion to the post of Assistant Director (Sports) expeditiously and issue final promotion order for the said post at the earliest. (iii) That, this Hon’ble court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities that if the petitioner is found fully eligible for promotion to the Post of Assistant Director (Sports) considering his entire service records, he be given promotion to the said post. (iv) that this Hon’ble court may further be pleased to direct respondents to give suitable compensation to the petitioner for the mental trauma and agony, harassment and hardships suffered by him as also cost of the litigation.” 2. Learned counsel for the respondent/State submits that the petitioner in this writ petition has claimed for conclusion of the proceeding of departmental promotion committee expeditiously and for grant of promotion to the petitioner on the post of Assistant Director (Sports). He further submits that the petitioner stood retired on 31.07.2021 and as such this writ petition has 3 become infructuous. 3. As no representation is made on behalf of the petitioner despite two calls and considering the fact that the petitioner has retired, this writ petition is disposed of. 4.
