The present review petition has been filed seeking review of the judgment and order dated 28.11.2022 passed in W.A.No.3286/2011 instituted by the review petitioner-State Bank of India against the order dated 09.03.2011 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.38466/2002. 2. The Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, while dismissing the writ appeal, has upheld the order passed by the learned Single - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010361212023 NC: 2026:KHC:36844-DB RP No. 326 of 2023 Judge which would require payment of interest @18% p.a. on the post-retirement dues of the respondent-employee. 3. The Division Bench has not given any finding in respect of the rate of interest. However, the respondent-employee would be entitled for interest on the gratuity amount due as per the provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act. However, in respect of other dues, we reduce the interest from 18% p.a. to 6% p.a. If the interest has not yet been paid, the review petitioner- State Bank of India shall pay the statutory interest on the gratuity and on other retirement dues @ 6% p.a. to the respondent-employee within a period of one month from today. 4.
