1. The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (B.N.S.S.) (corresponding to Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973), seeking calling of the status report in case FIR No.52 dated 03.05.2026 registered under Sections 109, 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), 351(3), 191(3), 190, 331(6), 304, 324(4) of BNS and Section 25 of Arms Act (Sections 307, 323, 341, 506, 148, 149, 458, 427 of IPC and Section 304 of BNS newly added) at Police Station Kotwali Nabha, District Patiala and further seeking directions to respondent No.2 to take appropriate legal action on the representation dated 01.06.2026 (Annexure P-2). 2. Rattu, learned DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that enquiry on petitioner’s representation was underway and the needful would be done in due course. 5. Keeping in view the limited prayer made by petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2- Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, Punjab, to decide the aforesaid representation dated 01.06.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by petitioner within a period of four weeks’ from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law and take appropriate action, if so required. 6. However, if, respondent No.2 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation, the petitioner shall be informed as per mandate of law. 7. Petition stands disposed of. 8. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
