The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the Special Intensive Revision Appellate Tribunal to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner within a specified time frame. Ms. Pandey appears for the Election Commission of India. She submits that a large number of appeals are pending before the Appellate Tribunal and the appeals are being disposed of by such Appellate Tribunals on day to day basis. However, taking note of the fact that the appeal is pending for a considerable period of time, WPA 963 of 2026 stands disposed of by requesting the Appellate Tribunal to take up the hearing of the appeal filed by the petitioner and make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible but preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of communication of a server copy of this order. 2 It is however, made clear that this Court has not entered into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in the said appeal and all points are left open to be decided by the Appellate Tribunal in accordance with law. The learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to serve a scanned copy of this writ petition upon Ms. Pandey, who is representing the Election Commission of India.
