This application has been filed under section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963, praying for condonation of delay of 879 days in filing the connected Criminal Appeal against the judgment dated 10.01.2022 passed by the Special Judge, Fast Track Special Court, POCSO, Dimapur, Nagaland sentencing the appellant to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 7 years with fine of Rs. 20,000/- under section 376 (i) IPC read with Section 7 of the POCSO Act, 2012 and in default to undergo another 1 (one) year of simple imprisonment. The learned PP, Mr. Veto V. Zhimomi, appears for the State respondent and Mr. Nongosa, learned Amicus Curiae, appears for the respondent no. 2. The reasons for the delay has been set out in paragraph 13 of the application. This Court has perused the same and finds that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay.
