JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present : Mr. H.S.Saini, Advocate, for the petitioners. Mr. Sahil R. Bakshi, AAG, Punjab. KULDEEP TIWARI, J.(Oral) 1. The main grievance which propelled the present petitioners to approach this Court by casting instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is the indolent and lackadaisical approach of the authority concerned, in not deciding their legal notice dated 25.05.2026 (Annexure P-13). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied, in case a mandamus is passed upon respondents, to take a final decision on their legal notice (supra), in a time bound manner. 3. On the other hand, learned State counsel, who is present in Court, on an advance notice, submits that he has no objection, if the aforesaid direction is passed upon the respondent authorities. In view of the above and considering the prayer, as made by learned counsel for the petitioners, being innocuous and bona fide, this Court, without observing anything on merits of the instant case, directs the respondents, to take a final decision on the legal notice (supra), by passing a speaking order, after giving a due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. If the petitioners are found entitled for the asked for monetary benefits, the same shall be released to them, forthwith. 5. In case the legal notice (supra), is not decided within the stipulated time period, the petitioners would be at liberty to get revive the instant petition, by filing an apposite application. 6. Disposed of accordingly. 7. All pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of accordingly.
