This petition has been preferred by petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking following reliefs:- “10.1 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be direct the respondent No.2/Collector, Surajpur District to consider and decide the petitioner’s representation dated 12.05.2017, 08.04.2025 & 02.06.2026 (for grant of land ownership rights/lease over the Government land bearing Khasra No.216/1k, admeasuring 0.202 hectare, Village Chainpur. DEEPTI JHA Digitally signed by DEEPTI JHA 2 10.2 That any other order/relief which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit, proper and just in the facts and circumstances of the present case may also kindly be awarded to the petitioner in the ends of justice.” 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this petitioner has filed an application for grant of lease/patta on 22.06.2026. She further submits that the petitioner has filed the applications dated 12.05.2017, 08.04.2025 and 02.06.2026 in respect of the land bearing Khasra No.216/1k, admeasuring 0.202 hectare situated at Village Chainpur, Tehsil Manendragarh, District Manendragarh – Chirmiri – Bharatpur (C.G.), which have not been considered yet. Therefore, in this regard respondent No.2/Collector may be directed to consider and decide the same in accordance with law. 4. Learned counsel for the State submits that from perusal of the applications as well as the documents filed along with petition, nothing could be transpired that on what ground the petitioner is seeking lease/patta, as the application is vague. As such perhaps due to this reason applications could not be decided. He further submits that if the petitioner files an appropriate application detailing the reasons for grant of lease/patta, the same shall be considered by the concerned Collector in accordance with law. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 6. From perusal of the applications filed by the petitioner seems to be vague and no documents have been filed, which shows that petitioner is landless person and comes under below poverty line. 7. Considering the aforesaid aspect of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing petitioner to file an appropriate application along with relevant documents showing that he is landless person and is below poverty line within a period of 15 days from the date of passing of this order before the respondent No.2/Collector and in turn, respondent No.2/Collector shall 3 consider and decide the same expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 90 days from the date of filing of the duly constituted application filed by the petitioner. 8. With the aforesaid observation(s) and direction(s), the instant writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Interlocutory application(s), pending if any, also stands disposed of.
