The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) (corresponding to Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973), seeking issuance of appropriate directions to respondents No.2 to 4 and 6 for ensuring a fair, proper, and effective investigation in FIR No.129 dated 05.06.2026, registered under Sections 109, 191(3) and 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Sections 307, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, respectively) and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station Kambhoj, District Amritsar Rural, Punjab. 2. Counsel for the petitioner submits after arguing for some time that petitioner submitted an application/representation dated 01.07.2026 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural and he would be satisfied if appropriate directions be issued to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural to consider and decide application/representation dated 01.07.2026 (Annexure P-3) moved by SAURAV PATHANIA 2026.07.14 18:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Rattu, learned DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits the needful would be done in due course. 5. Keeping in view the limited prayer made by petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural, to decide the aforesaid application/representation dated 01.07.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by petitioner within a period of four weeks’ from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law and take appropriate action, if so required. 6. However, in case respondent No.3 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation, the petitioner shall be duly informed of the decision, in accordance with law. The petitioner shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedy if any grievance survives after the decision on his application/representation. 7.
