And In the matter of : Azan Piyada @ Ajan Piyada. ……Petitioner. Mr. Navanil De Mr. Srinjan Ghosh Mr. Arghya Bhattacharjee Mr. Debarshi Mukhopadhyay .....for the Petitioner. Mr. Sagar Saha Ms. Nayana Mukhopadhyay ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent of the charges and it is his wife who is implicated, for which petitioner had taken steps, in spite of the same, petitioner has been taken into custody and he is in custody for 171 days. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the investigation of the case is still in progress. Having considered, at this stage, already commercial quantity of the contraband has been seized, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 1337 of 2026 is dismissed. 2 All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
