ORAL ORDER Accused in Crime No.185/2026 registered by Banaswadi Police Station, Bengaluru City for the offence punishable under Section 75(2) of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.185/2026 was registered by Banaswadi Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offence against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 12.03.2026 received from the victim lady aged about 40 years. case, the petitioner had filed Crl.Misc.No.2917/2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on 01.04.2026. Therefore, he is before the Court. 4. In the first information dated 12.03.2026 submitted by the victim lady aged 40 years, she has stated that she is working as a Senior Associate in State Bank of India, Kacharakanahalli Branch Bengaluru. The petitioner, who is the customer of the said Bank, had collected her mobile number and had sent vulgar messages to her. Though, the first informant had asked him not to send such messages, he had continued to send vulgar messages to her. Therefore, she brought the same to the notice of the Chief Manager of the Bank. It appears that the petitioner had sent some vulgar messages even to the Chief Manager of the Bank, asking him to co-operate with him. 5. It is under these circumstances, the victim lady had approached the police on 12.03.2026 and submitted

her first information based on which the FIR was registered against the petitioner. 6. Petitioner is a married man and has no other criminal antecedent. He has undertaken to co-operate with the police for the purpose of investigation. Maximum punishment for the alleged offence is imprisonment for a period of 3 years. 7. Considering the nature of averments found in the first information and also the submission made on behalf of the petitioner, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively, subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following :
O R D E R The criminal petition is allowed.
The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are
directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest

in Crime No.185/2026 registered by Banaswadi Police Station, Bengaluru City for the offence punishable under Section 75(2) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions:
a) The Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer.
b) Petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons.
c) Petitioner shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and he shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon.
d) Petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future;

e) Petitioner shall appear before the Station House Officer (S.H.O) of Banaswadi Police Station on every first Sunday of the month between 10.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. and mark his attendance regularly till the final report is filed in the present case.
