Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that instead of hearing the present application, the main appeal itself may be heard. Present Letters Patent Appeal has been filed against an interim order dated 26.05.2026 passed by the learned Single Judge in CWP-10250- 2026 titled ‘Sarabjit Singh Gill vs. Union Territory of Chandigarh & Ors.’. 6. Learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the appellants has stated that the only prayer in the writ petition (CWP-10250- 2026) was challenging the Look Out Circular dated 02.03.2026, qua respondent No.1 in case FIR No.13 dated 20.05.2025 registered at Police Station EOW, Chandigarh. It has further been contended that there was no prayer made in the writ petition for entrusting the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Learned Senior Standing Counsel on instructions has further stated that the said Look Out Circular has since been withdrawn/deleted and the intimation in this regard has already been sent to respondent No.3 – Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India – rendering the writ petition (CWP-10250-2026) itself infructuous. 7. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.1 is not in a position to deny the fact that the said Look Out Circular has since been withdrawn/deleted and the writ petition itself has been rendered infructuous. In view thereof, Mr. Patwalia, Advocate states that respondent No.1 herein, who is petitioner in the writ petition, would be withdrawing his writ petition (CWP-10250-2026) before the Writ Court reserving his right to avail the remedies as available to him under the law.
