Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 2.The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to de-freeze the petitioner’s Savings Bank (Pension) Account bearing No.502770297 maintained with the respondent Bank, by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 06.04.2026. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he had availed a personal loan and a short-term loan from the respondent Bank. Owing to default in repayment of the monthly instalments, the respondent Bank had frozen the petitioner’s savings account. 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.12382 of 2026 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is prepared to clear the outstanding dues payable to the respondent Bank and has already submitted a representation seeking de- freezing of the account. 5.Mr. C. Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the respondent Bank, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the representation submitted by the petitioner, the petitioner’s Savings Bank Account has already been de-frozen and is presently operational. The said submission is placed on record. 6.In view of the subsequent development, namely, the de-freezing of the petitioner’s bank account, the relief sought for in the present writ petition has already been substantially granted and no further cause survives for adjudication. 7.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as having become infructuous. 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.12382 of 2026 8.There shall be no order as to costs.
