This writ petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the District Magistrate, Hooghly in disposing of the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. 2. The petitioner claims to be a secured creditor. The petitioner contends that its application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act has been pending since August 11, 2025. 3. An application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act requires immediate attention. 4. Having heard the learned Advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material-on-record, this writ petition is disposed of by requesting the District 2 Magistrate, Hooghly to dispose of the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one month from date, in accordance with law. 5. WPA 14748 of 2026 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 6. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act. 7.
