JUSTICE S VISHWAJITH SHETTY ORAL ORDER 1. Accused No.7 in Crime No.122/2025 registered by K.R. Sagara, Police Station, Mandya for offences punishable under Sections 331(4), 305, 317(4), 317(5) of BNS, 2023 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.122/2025 was registered by K.R. Sagara Police Station, Mandya for offences punishable under Section 305, 331(4) to 333(1) of BNS, 2023 against unknown persons based on the first information dated 16.07.2025, received from Smt.Shilparavi, wife of the Ravi. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioner had filed Criminal Misc.No.5130/2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court which was rejected on 30.04.2026. First informant had approached the police on 16.07.2025, alleging that on 13.07.2025 she had gone to the temple at Thirupathi. When she returned home on 16.07.2025, she found that her gold jewelry weighing about 84 grams, cash of ₹85,000/- and silver articles weighing 150 grams were stolen from her house. It is under the said circumstances, FIR was registered in Crime No.122/2025 against unknown persons. 5. During the course of investigation, some of the accused were arrested and after completing investigation, charge sheet has been filed against 7 persons and petitioner is arrayed as accused No.7 in the charge sheet. 6. Accused No.1 - Manjunatha, who was arrested in the present case is the husband of accused No.7 who is the petitioner herein. Allegation as against the petitioner in the charge sheet is that the gold articles which were stolen by her husband was handed over to her and she inturn had pledged the same. It is not in dispute that the petitioner has no other criminal antecedents. She is a lady aged about 29 years. - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010342212026 NC: 2026:KHC:36470 CRL.P No. 7215 of 2026 7. Considering the nature of allegation found against her, I am of the opinion that her prayer for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following: ORDER The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of her arrest in Crime No.122/2025 registered by K.R. Sagara, Police Station, Mandya for offences punishable under Sections 331(4), 305, 317(4), 317(5) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (One lakh only) with two sureties, for the likesum to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer. 2. Petitioner shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and she shall co- operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. 4.
