JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. 2. The grievance of the petitioners is that respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Devanahalli Taluk and respondent No.5- Assistant Director of Land Records, Devanahalli Taluk, have not acted upon the application given by the petitioners on 28.11.2023 at Annexure-P, 09.01.2026 at Annexure-P1 and 24.01.2026 at Annexure-P2, for phodi and durast of 2 acres of land in Survey No.66 of Kempathimmanahalli Village, Kasaba Hobli, Devanahalli Taluk. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20136 WP No. 10808 of 2026 3. Learned High Court Government Pleader, however, submits on instructions that the application filed by the petitioners has been taken up for consideration, but, since the petitioners have not furnished the original grant orders, the file has been forwarded to the Committee for building up missing records. 4. In the considered opinion of this Court, having regard to the entry found in the RTC at Annexure-N for the years 2023-2024 and the name of the petitioners finding place in the RTC in column No.9 and the information available in column No.10 shows that the mutation entry is carried out in terms of MR No.H4/2023-24 dated 31.08.2023, the authorities cannot say that they have no information regarding the original grant orders. Without verifying the original grant orders, the name of the petitioners could not have been entered in the RTC. Nevertheless, if the petitioners have any information regarding the original grant, they are permitted to submit the same before the respondent-Tahsildar, within a period of fifteen days from today. The Tahsildar shall look into the documents that would be supplied by the petitioners and if the Tahsildar is - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20136 WP No. 10808 of 2026 satisfied regarding the grant, he may proceed to consider the application filed by the petitioners for phodi and durast. On the other hand, if the material supplied by the petitioners does not satisfy the requirement, then the Committee for missing records may proceed to consider the request made by the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
