Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for one year eleven months and the allegedly clinching materials which are appearing are recovery of the firearms. The prosecution’s story also runs that the victim died after sustaining bullet injury. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that charges have already been framed. Having considered the materials appearing against the present petitioner, I direct that the petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the evidence of the seizure
2 list witnesses relating to recovery of the firearms is complete. At this stage, I am not inclined to enlarge the present petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. The learned trial court is directed to prepone the evidence of the seizure list witnesses referred to above and the same be completed within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1296 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
