The writ petition alleges inaction on the part of the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Calcutta disposing of the petitioners’ application under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. 2. It is submitted that said application has been pending since June 18, 2025. 3. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by requesting the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Calcutta to dispose of the petitioner’s application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order. 4. With the above observations, WPA 16573 of 2026 2 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 5.
