The Applicant is an accused in connection with FIR No. 22 of 2025 dated 11.02.2025, registered under Sections 103, 238 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, at Police Station Pulbhatta, District Udham Singh Nagar. 4. Heard learned counsel for the Applicant and learned State Counsel. Perused the record. 5. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the present application has been moved seeking short-term bail to enable the Applicant to attend the marriage ceremony of his sister, namely Rakshi Kashyap, which is scheduled to be solemnized on 04.04.2026. It is submitted that the original copy of the wedding invitation card has been annexed along with an affidavit as Annexure No. 1. It is further submitted that the presence of the Applicant is necessary to participate in and perform family responsibilities related to the marriage ceremony. 6. Learned State Counsel has opposed the Short-Term Bail Application; however, he does not dispute the factum of the marriage ceremony as reflected from the invitation card brought on record. 7. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, particularly the fact that the Applicant seeks bail for a limited period to attend the marriage of his real sister, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is of the view that the Applicant is entitled to be released on short-term bail. 8. Accordingly, the Short-Term Bail Application (BAST) is allowed. The Applicant shall be released on short-term bail with effect from 30.03.2026 to 11.04.2026, upon his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Court concerned. 9. The Applicant shall surrender before the concerned Jail Authority immediately after expiry of the aforesaid period, without fail. 10. It is made clear that in case the Applicant misuses the liberty of short-term bail, the State shall be at liberty to seek appropriate orders in accordance with law. 11.
