Affidavit of compliance filed on behalf of the alleged contemnor is taken on record. It appears from such affidavit of compliance that by an order dated 09.01.2026, the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District being the respondent no.1 in the writ petition was directed to dispose of the applicant/petitioner’s application for sub-division of the land within 28th February, 2026. 2. The said Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District, however, has disposed of the applicant/petitioner’s application by an order dated 12th June, 2026 much beyond the time period 2 provided to the said Deputy Commissioner for disposing of the applicant/petitioner’s application. 3. Although, compliance of the said order dated 09.01.2026 has been made but the same is much beyond permitted schedule. 4. The Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District is cautioned so that in future he does not take an order of this Court in a casual manner to comply with the same on his own whims in spite of adhering to the time schedule provided in the order. 5. Since nothing further remains to be decided in this contempt application, the contempt proceedings is dropped. Accordingly, the contempt application being CPAN 30 of 2026 is disposed of by recording compliance of the order dated 09.01.2026 with the rider of caution as recorded hereinabove. 6. It is needless to say that disposal of this contempt application will not stand in the way of the applicant/petitioner in challenging the order dated 12.06.2026 passed by the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District in accordance with law, if so advised. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. (Arindam Mukherjee, J.)
