The petitioner is a co-accused in G.R. Case No.68 of 2026 arising out of Ghoskadanga Police Station Case No.22 of 2026 dated January 17, 2026 under Sections 85/109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 2. According to the petitioner, she is a neighbour of the accused and is not connected with the incident whatsoever. The other neighbours, most of whom were males, had already been granted anticipatory bail in connection with the same case. 3. Having considered the complaint lodged before the police authorities, it appears that the only allegation against the petitioner was that she was having an illicit relationship with the husband of the victim. Having perused the statements of other witnesses, including the son who appears to be an eyewitness, I find that this is a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. 2 4. Considering the role of the petitioner as per the records of the investigation, I direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.20,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions laid down in Section 482(2) of the BNSS. The petitioner will not leave the jurisdictional police station and cooperate with the investigation. In the event the condition is violated, the anticipatory bail will stand automatically cancelled. 5. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 419 of 2026 is, thus, disposed of. 6.
