It is the case of the petitioner that he joined the service on 07.08.1989 and was working as a Village Assistant at the time of retirement on 30.06.2024. While in service, he was placed under suspension due to a criminal proceedings charged against him, in which, he was acquitted by this Court. Later, in the departmental proceedings, the charges were not proved and his suspension order was revoked and he was permitted to retire on 30.06.2024 vide order dated 10.11.2025. Though he was permitted to retire on the said date, his retirement benefits were not yet disbursed by the respondents. 3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner made a representation dated 27.03.2026 before the respondents to disburse the retirement benefits along with interest from the date of superannuation till the date of settlement, for which, there is no response till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 17360 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2026, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
