Accused in Crime No.268/2025 registered by Pavagada Police Station, Tumakuru for the offences punishable under Section 126(2), 115(2), 351(2) and 352 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. FIR in crime No.268/2025 was registered by Pavagada Police Station, Tumakuru for the offences punishable under Section 115(2), 351(2), 352 and 74 of BNS, 2023 against the petitioner herein, based on the first information dated 28.11.2025 received from Vishalakshi,

Apprehending arrest in the said case, the petitioner herein had filed Crl.Misc.No.5340/2025 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on 16.12.2025. Therefore, he is before this Court.
4. Perusal of the first information would go to show that the relationship between the petitioner and his wife was not cordial. Allegation in the first information is that the petitioner, who had gone near the school of their daughter on 24.11.2025, had allegedly abused his minor daughter using filthy language and also threatened her. It is further alleged that on 24.11.2025 at about 06.10 p.m. the petitioner had quarreled with his wife and had assaulted her with his hands and legs.
5. In respect of the aforesaid incident that had taken place on 24.11.2025, the FIR has been belatedly registered on 28.11.2025. Material on the record would go to show that the wife has already approached the

Investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet has been filed for the aforesaid offences. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following:
O R D E R (i) The criminal petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are
directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.268/2025 registered by Pavagada Police Station, Tumakuru for the offences punishable under Section 126(2), 115(2), 351(2), 352 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of
