Petitioner Ranjit Singh filed criminal miscellaneous petition under Section 528 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (earlier Section 482 Cr.P.C.) seeking direction to respondents No. 1 to 3 for taking appropriate steps against private respondents No. 4 and 5 for an attempt to take forcible possession of vehicle against the rules. 2. Learned counsel representing petitioner conceded that he had purchased vehicle No. HR 38 S 5087 by taking loan from respondents No. 4 and 5. He is making payment in installments. Only one installment is pending. Private respondents No. 4 and 5 are threatening to take possession of his vehicle. Regarding the conduct of respondents No. 4 and 5, he had given complaint/representation dated 15.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) and for this reason, present petition has been filed. 3. On advance notice, Mr. Jasjit Singh Rattu, DAG, Punjab appeared on behalf of respondents No. 2 and 3. I have considered the aforesaid factual position. Facts narrated in petition and documents annexed with petition, it is admitted by petitioner that he had purchased vehicle by raising loan from private respondents No.4 and 5 and as per his version, he is making payment of EMI. Account statement is Annexure P-1. Main grievance of petitioner is threat extended by private respondents No. 4 and 5 for taking said vehicle forcibly for the purpose of recovery of loan. Considering the aforesaid factual position, official respondents No. 2 and 3 are directed to take appropriate steps on complaint/representation dated 15.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) within a span of three weeks from today as per law. It is further made clear that aforesaid order will have no bearing for taking action by private respondents No. 4 and 5 as per law. 5. Petition is accordingly, disposed of. 6. Pending miscellaneous application, if any, shall also stands disposed of accordingly.
