Accused in Crime No.44/2026 registered by Metagalli Police Station, Mysuru, for the offences punishable under Sections 188 and 306 of BNS, 2023 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.44/2026 was registered by Metagalli Police Station, Mysuru, for the offences punishable under Sections 181 and 306 of BNS, 2023, against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 30.04.2026 received from K. S. Bhimesh, authorized representative of Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited. During the course of investigation of the said case, petitioner was arrested on 30.04.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.761/2026 was rejected on 04.06.2026. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that petitioner was working in Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited. Eleven bank note numbering wheels were found missing and the management suspected the hand of the petitioner, who was working as numbering maintenance job in the Bank. It is under these circumstances, FIR was registered against the petitioner for the aforesaid offences. During the course of investigation, petitioner was arrested on 30.04.2026 and from his custody, nine wheels were allegedly recovered. However, there is no allegation against him that he had misused the said wheels for any purpose. Investigation of the case is now completed and charge sheet has been filed. In the charge sheet, the offence punishable under Section 181 of BNS, 2023, is dropped. The maximum punishment for the charge sheeted offences is imprisonment for a period of seven years. Petitioner aged 53 years has no other criminal antecedents. Under the circumstances, the following order:- 5. The petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.44/2026 registered by Metagalli Police Station, Mysuru, for the offences punishable under - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010392772026 NC: 2026:KHC:36225 CRL.P No. 8326 of 2026 Sections 188 and 306 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future; e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed off.
