NO. 8122 of 2026. 2. The petitioners, who are accused Nos. 1, 3 to 13 in Crime No. 27 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent Police registered for the offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 351(2) & 108 of BNS and Sections https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL MP No. 8039 of 2026 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 had earlier filed Crl.O.P. No. 8122 of 2026 seeking a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for trial of cases under SC/ST Act), Cuddalore to consider the petitioners’ bail application on the same day of their surrender and this Court, by order dated 01.04.2026, directed the Court concerned to consider the bail petition of petitioner Nos. 1, 2 and 4 to 12 on the same day of their surrender and further directed the aforesaid petitioners to surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. However, petitioner Nos. 1, 2 and 4 to 12 did not surrender within the time stipulated by this Court in the order dated 01.04.2026. Hence, the present petition. 3. Heard both sides. 4. The petitioner Nos.1, 2 and 4 to 12 are granted two weeks’ time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned.
