At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's father, who was working as a Peon under the respondent department, died in harness on 13.12.2023. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for compassionate appointment to the post of Assistant Grade-III along with all requisite documents. However, instead of appointing her to the said post, the respondent No.3 issued an appointment order dated 07.04.2026 appointing her as Peon (Class-IV). According to the petitioner, she has not joined pursuant to the said appointment order and has already submitted a representation before the Collector, Surguja raising her grievance.
