Mr. Anish Kumar Mukherjee …for the State. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record. The petitioners submitted a representation before the concerned authority on 8th May, 2026 seeking regularization of their services under the respective Gram Panchayats as Gram Panchayat Computerized Accounts Assistants and get remuneration as permanent staff under the authority. The said representation is yet to be considered. The petitioners seek consideration of the same. Learned counsel for the State submits that the representation be considered by the 2nd respondent in accordance with law. In view of the above, the OSD & E.O. Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, being the 2nd respondent herein, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 8th 2 May, 2026 within four weeks from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioners, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week thereof. In the event the 2nd respondent arrives at a decision in favour of the petitioners, necessary consequential steps be taken at the earliest. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
