The petitioner is an accused in connection with Basiya P.S. Case No. 71 of 2025, pending in the Court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gumla. The petitioner was alleged to have committed the murder of wife of the informant. Although it has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that there are no eye witnesses to the incident, but the allegation against the petitioner of assaulting on the head of the deceased with a hammer finds support from the postmortem report and regard being had to the above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
