The petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to extend the benefit of Karnataka Daily Wage Employees Welfare Act 2012 to the petitioner by considering the recommendation made by the third respondent vide letter dated 15.09.2017 at Annexure-G and extend all other consequential benefits to the petitioner by issuing time - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:36046 WP No. 7359 of 2022 bound directions to the respondents, under the facts and circumstances of the case. 3. Counsel for the petitioner submits that a memo has been filed furnishing the true copy of the representation addressed to the Chief Engineer, Cavery Neeravari Nigam Ltd. Counsel, therefore, submits that the petition may be disposed of directing the Chief Engineer to consider the said representation in accordance with law. 4. Counsel for the respondents submits that the representation would be considered in accordance with the law. 5. Taking note of the said submission, the Chief Engineer is hereby directed to consider the representation within six weeks from today in accordance with the law. While considering the representation, the Chief Engineer is directed to look into the recommendation made at Annexure-G. 6. A copy of the representation is given to the counsel on record and a gentle request is made to the counsel on record to forward / hand over the representation to the Chief Engineer to enable him to consider the representation instead - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:36046 WP No. 7359 of 2022 of insisting the petitioner to go and hand over the representation personally. 7.
