Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the members of Barashimul Dayarampur Gram Panchayat. Pursuant to an order passed by this Court on 23rd June, 2026 in WPA 13726 of 2026 meeting was convened by the Prescribed Authority on 24th June, 2026 and held on 2nd July, 2026. The Pradhan of the Panchayat has been removed. The Prescribed Authority issued a notice on 8th July, 2026 fixing 17th July, 2026 for election of a new Pradhan. The petitioner seeks police assistance in order to enable the Prescribed Authority to hold the meeting without any hindrance. In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that since the date of meeting has been fixed tomorrow, 2 that is, on 17th July, 2026, the Inspector in Charge of Raghunathganj-II Police Station, being the 6th respondent herein, is directed to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority so that the meeting is held peacefully without any disturbance from any corner whatsoever. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. All parties shall act on the server copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
