Petitioners are the members of respondent no.6-Society. An administrator was appointed to manage the affairs of respondent no.6-Society in the year 2024. However, even as on today, election to respondent no.6-Society has not been conducted. Hence, the present writ petition is filed with the following prayers: "A. Issue writ in the nature of mandamus directing 2nd, 3rd and 4th respondents to take steps to complete the election process to the 6th respondent primary society from the stage which required to be continued in terms of the demand made by the petitioners in the representation at "Annexure F" dated 24.04.2026. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:34272 WP No. 18856 of 2026 B. Issue writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to complete the election process, enable to elect the members of managing committee as well as office bearers by taking necessary steps by appointing returning officer and also issue directions to notify the calendar of events under form no.XII in terms of rule 14(3) of the cooperative societies rules. C. Issue any appropriate writ order or direction as this Hon'ble court deem it fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case in the ends of Justice and equity." 2. Generally, election to a co-operative society is required to be conducted within a period of six months from the date of appointment of the administrator. 3. Learned counsel for respondent no.6-Society also urges for elections to be conducted to the Board of respondent no.6- Society as early as possible. 4. Learned HCGP upon the instructions, submits that, election to respondent no.6-Society will be conducted within a period of six months from today. 5.
